Four years of black at home, the last two applied every three weeks whether it needed it or not. Under it, a natural level six and a band of orange at the old demarcation line. This is the job I say no to most often, because it is usually a promise nobody can keep in one afternoon.

We did it in two sittings six weeks apart. First a colour remover and a gentle lift to a level eight, then home with a bond treatment and strict instructions. Second sitting, the last two levels and a cool gloss. She left with hair that still curls, which was the actual test.
